Food was great and service was pleasant. We were worried about the prices and hoped the food tasted good but we were not disappointed. We the chicken was a bit overcooked but the duck and lamb were cooked to perfection. We will definitely be back.

Had our company holiday dinner on a Tuesday evening. “Someone back there knows what they’re doing,” was the best comment I heard someone at the table say, and I think it perfectly sums up how great the food was.
Oysters were great, calamari fried perfectly, spinach and artichoke dip was cheesy and had plenty of spinach and artichokes. I cannot say enough about how wonderfully flavored my lobster tortellini was with PLENTY of tortellinis and more lobster than you could possibly imagine.
Every entree on the table was PLENTIFULLY portioned. Genuinely felt the prices per plate were more than justified based on how delicious everything was and the portions they served.
Lemon Berry mascarpone dessert was amazing, wish I had listened to our server when she said it was her favorite. Had to steal bites from my colleagues. Key lime pie was good and everyone who had any leftovers whatsoever, took them home.
Shout out to our server who was stellar, thanks for the great service.

We had a delicious meal at Amber Lantern Restaurant. My husband and I each enjoyed pasta. Scrumptious mushroom and spinach tortellini for me, and a good lasagna for him. Salads were crisp and fresh. A nice wine selection by the glass. Kayla provided prompt and personable service. We spent the night on our boat at Top Rack Marina and were happy to have a good restaurant only a few steps away. Beautiful sunset views over the ICW.

Pleasantly surprised. Every dish was very well executed and was delicious. The gnocchi carbonara was actually better than next day. Seems like the flavor came together a little bit more. If you go, the food will be delicious, but make sure you bring your pocketbook. It’s not cheap. :-)

Best food and service I’ve had in years. Came for valentines and had Christy as our server- she was great. Can’t wait to come back.
Husband had the filet - each bite melts in your mouth- yes, I tried some of his meal. lol.
I had the Tale of the Sea- there was so much lobster meat in this dish, I was totally not expecting that. I got the piccata sauce (recommended by Christy, my server)- it was delicious.
I’m full but I’m definitely sliding home with a piece of cake for later 😏😏

Enjoy a wonderful meal and an amazing sunset.
Second time dining here and I don’t have a single flaw to advise about. My wife and I decided to go for dinner at the last minute and even though we didn’t have reservations the staff was able to fit us in.
Every item that we ordered came out cooked to perfection. The cocktails were amazing and well crafted. Unfortunately I forgot our servers name but she was on point.

Me and my brother in law ate here on August 28th. Neither of us had any prior knowledge of the restaurant. First impression from the parking lot was questionable, but everything after that was exemplary. We followed the signs to the entrance, up the elevator, and were greeted with a smile from the hostess. We chose to sit outside which was lovely. Our server (I believe her name was Molly) gave us the best service I've received from anywhere in quite some time. She was attentive when we needed her, and she didnt interrupt our conversations while we were enjoying our meal. Our drinks stayed filled and she was knowledgeable of everything we asked about on the menu. We shared the mussels gorgonzola from their specials menu, the portion was large, the sauce and toppings were abundant. I had the pork chops for my entrée, they were thin but moist and flavorful. The mango fig sauce it was served with was warm and sweet. It paired excellently with the pork. My brother had the crabcakes, he enjoyed them. Even the dinner rolls were delicious! The dessert menu was a good read, but I'm not too fond of cake, so I didn't get any dessert (I was too full anyways). I took some crab bisque home to my wife and she said it was great.
It is so nice when a spontaneous choice of restaurant pays off. If I lived nearby, I would be a regular.

Outstanding!! I have spent my time in kitchens here and abroad. My wife and I enjoy the occasional first time thrill of finding a nearby, go to restaurant. The menu accounts for Chef Muroni’s Italian heritage and training while allowing the great plates of America the opportunity to shine at the hands of a superior kitchen staff. Pleasant from the host stand to exit…this very casual and relaxed atmosphere is simply comfy. Our mixed drinks were probably the best we’ve enjoyed since moving to the Chesapeake area and I have been a Hampton Roads resident for 20 years. A bit off the beaten path located next door to a marina and sharing space to accommodate larger banquet hall formal affairs. It’s location right on the water is pristine and I can’t wait for the Spring. Amazingly good value…treat yourself…you deserve this! We will definitely return!!
